Faster, Safer DMs and File Sharing

Blog

Dear ChatEmpire Community,

We’re excited to announce some important updates designed to make your ChatEmpire experience even better – faster, safer, and more focused on quality interactions.

To combat spam and ensure optimal performance across the platform, we’ve made a strategic decision regarding direct messages (DMs) and file uploads:

Direct Message (DM) Updates: You will no longer be able to send multiple messages consecutively within DMs. This change is crucial for reducing spam and maintaining a clear, concise communication channel.

DM File Uploads Disabled: To further enhance security and speed, we have disabled the ability to upload files directly within DMs.

Why These Changes?

Our priority is to provide a seamless and secure environment. These adjustments directly address:

Spam Reduction: By limiting multi-messages and file uploads in DMs, we can significantly cut down on unwanted spam.

Performance Boost: These measures will help keep ChatEmpire running at top speed, ensuring a smooth experience for everyone.

User Protection: Restricting file uploads in DMs, combined with new platform-wide limitations on file types and sizes, enhances your safety against malicious content.

Where Can You Still Share?

Rest assured, your ability to share and collaborate remains robust:

Topics and Replies: You can still send multiple messages and upload files within public topics and replies.

New File Restrictions: Please note that all file uploads across the site (including in topics and replies) will now have limited file types and sizes. This is a necessary step to protect our users and maintain the high performance you expect from ChatEmpire.

We understand that adapting to new features takes time, and we truly appreciate your understanding and continued support as we evolve ChatEmpire. These changes are vital for fostering a more secure, efficient, and enjoyable community for all.

Thank you for being a valued member of ChatEmpire!

Warm regards,

‘Mide
