UNICAL Post-UTME and Direct Entry Screening Form 2024/2025

Screening details for candidates seeking admission into University of Calabar

The University of Calabar (UNICAL) has started registration for the 2025/2026 Post-UTME and Direct Entry screening. If you picked UNICAL as your first choice and scored at least 150 in UTME, you can apply. Even if you didn’t choose UNICAL earlier, there’s still room to switch and apply—just update your choice on the JAMB portal.

Registration opens Friday, 18 July 2025, and the portal shuts down by midnight on Monday, 4 August 2025. Don’t wait till the last minute.

Who Can Apply?

You qualify if:

• You chose UNICAL as your first choice in JAMB and scored 150 or more
• Or you scored 150 and want to apply to UNICAL now, but you must first change your preferred school to UNICAL on the JAMB site

Candidates applying for Medicine and Surgery or Dentistry must have O’Level results from one sitting only. Two sittings won’t be accepted.

How To Pay and Register

You’ll need to pay a non-refundable fee of ₦2,000. Choose one of two methods:

Option 1: Pay at the bank (E-transact)

• Visit any commercial bank and request for UNICAL Post-UTME payment
• Get an E-transact PIN
• Go to myunical.edu.ng
• Click on UTME Admission Screening
• Log in with your JAMB Registration Number and PIN
• Fill the form and submit

Option 2: Buy Post-UTME PIN Online

• Go to the UNICAL portal
• Click Buy Post-UTME Pin Online
• Use the Transaction ID as your PIN to log in
• Follow the steps and complete your registration

After filling the form, print out your completed application. You’ll need this on the test day.

Screening Test Details

The university will announce the screening date on your Screening Schedule Printout after your application is complete.

Bring these items on the test day:

• Your Post-UTME Schedule Printout
• Your 2025 UTME Result Slip

Leave these at home:

• Calculators
• Mathematical tables
• Smart devices (phones, watches)
• Bags

Anything banned that shows up will be seized. UNICAL won’t return lost or confiscated items.

Avoid False Claims

If you lie about your UTME score, O’Level results or state of origin, your application will be rejected outright. The system catches these things. Save yourself the stress.

Extra Tips

• Use an email and phone number you can access easily. That’s how UNICAL will contact you if needed.
• Don’t forget to upload your O’Level results to the JAMB CAPS platform.
