Keymaster::Wilfred Ndidi has handed Beşiktaş a timely boost after returning to full training just 24 hours after missing Friday night’s shock 3-0 defeat away to Göztepe, Soccernet.ng reports.
The Nigerian midfielder sat out the match with a knock, sparking concern among fans who feared a longer layoff.
But Beşiktaş confirmed on Saturday morning that Ndidi was back with the squad as preparations began for their clash with Kayserispor.

The 28-year-old joined the Turkish giants this summer from Leicester City and has quickly become a key figure in midfield.
The Super Eagles star has featured in four matches so far, including his debut in a 2-1 win over Eyüpspor and two appearances in Beşiktaş’ short-lived Champions League campaign against Lausanne Sport.

During the break, he represented Nigeria in World Cup qualifying, starting the 1-0 win over Rwanda and the 1-1 draw with South Africa.

Beşiktaş fans had been hoping to see Ndidi face Göztepe’s Anthony Dennis, another Nigerian midfielder attracting attention.
Dennis, before the arrival of Ndidi to Turkish football, had nurtured his reputation as Nigeria’s finest defensive midfielder in the Super Lig.

Although that personal duel never materialised, Beşiktaş will be relieved their summer signing’s absence was only precautionary.

Ndidi is now expected to feature against Kayserispor as Beşiktaş aim to bounce back and keep their title challenge alive.
