‎‎‎Bayelsa United will be seeking redemption when they welcome Nasarawa United to the Samson Siasia Stadium, Yenagoa this Sunday in their Matchday 5 fixture of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).

‎The Prosperity Boys began the season in an impressive fashion, defeating Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) on the road in Ibadan and then followed it up with a win over Barau FC in their opening two matches.

But their early momentum has since been checked, following back-to-back defeats — first away to Niger Tornadoes and then at home to Enyimba last weekend at the Samson Siasia Stadium.

‎Bayelsa United assistant coach/manager, Meremu Okara who spoke after the defeat last time out against Enyimba believes the team will bounce back, stressing that lessons have been learned from their recent defeats.

‎Bayelsa United know that victory in Yenagoa would not only restore confidence but also reinforce their ambitions to remain among the front-runners this season in the NPFL.

‎Their opponents, Nasarawa United arrived with the determination to spoil the party and build on their own mixed start to the campaign.

The Solid Miners have proven tricky customers in recent meetings and will look to capitalize on Bayelsa United’s fragile form in recent time.

‎With both sides eager to change their fortunes, the stage is set for an entertaining and fiercely competitive battle at the Samson Siasia Stadium.
