BMU Issues Alert on Fake Admission Letter

Bayelsa Medical University (BMU) has raised concern over a fake admission letter and a false set of “requirements and procedures” being shared across social platforms.

The university explained that no admission letter has been issued outside the JAMB and CAPS system, and any message asking applicants to pay fees into personal bank accounts is not from the school. This update aims to guide applicants, parents and the public on how to stay safe during the admission period.

    BMU Clarifies Official Admission Channels

Bayelsa Medical University stated that all valid admission steps run through the JAMB portal and the university site. No staff member is authorised to issue admission letters privately or request payments for acceptance fees, hostels or screening through personal accounts.
The university urged applicants to stay alert and report any message that seems unusual through its verified channels.

Advice to Prospective Students and Parents

The university asked the public to ignore any shared document that contains false steps for processing admission. Messages that ask for bank transfers outside the school’s recognised platforms should be treated with care.
BMU reminded the public that updates about admission, fee schedules and hostel details appear only on its official website and social media pages.
