Johannesburg lit up the 2025 TikTok Awards carpet with creators — and their looks stole the show.

On 8 December 2025, stars lit up Johannesburg for the 2025 TikTok Awards: Sub-Saharan Africa, a celebration of creators shaping the continent’s digital culture. Since its debut in 2023, the ceremony has honoured those whose passion, creativity, and impact are driving the next wave of online storytelling.

This year’s third edition highlighted a diverse range of creators across food, entertainment, sports, education, music, and storytelling. Framed by the theme “New era, New icons,” the ceremony celebrated the innovators shaping digital culture and pushing African narratives forward. 

And naturally, before the trophies came the fashion. Here are the best-dressed stars who owned the carpet:

Raja’atu Muhammed Ibrahim

The newly crowned Creator of the Year strutted down the carpet in a gorgeous bespoke seafoam green kaftan gown by Hadiza Usman Shettima. Showcasing effortless elegance for the icon.

Dejoke Ogunbityi

The social impact of the year winner, Dejoke Ogunbityi,  stunned in a unique olive-green/chartreuse ball gown featuring an architectural skirt silhouette, pleated bodice detailing, and dramatic cap sleeves.

Belove Olocha

The Entertainment Creator of the Year winner glowed in a voluminous, off-the-shoulder yellow tulle gown. The sunny yellow tulle dress radiated Soft, playful, and eye-catching energy

Lordkez

Lordkez proved casual can absolutely be red-carpet-worthy, switching things up with a modern, edgy look. She wore a red cropped top with sheer long sleeves, oversized acid-wash jeans, and a chain belt. Comfortable, cool, and confident.

Zayaan

Zayaan looked ethereal in a mermaid-style gown featuring a corset-style bodice and three-dimensional floral embellishments on the skirt. The flowing white gown radiated soft, angelic glamour.

Tokoni Iderima

Iderima showed up looking sharp in a two-piece suit paired with a wrap jacket, topped off with a clean traditional white cap. A perfect blend of modern and cultural.

English With Clem

Clem kept it classy dressed in a deep burgundy sport coat, a white collared shirt, and light khaki/cream-coloured chinos. The look was simple, sleek, and comfortable for the event.

Brian Nwana

Before claiming his Storyteller of the Year win, Brian turned heads in a dark brown leather jacket over a textured, olive-green sweater and wide-leg black trousers, an elegant ensemble that fit the moment perfectly. 

Zero Brainer

Zero Brainer stunned in a cream two-piece suit with a multicoloured tie, giving a bright twist to classic menswear.

Keegan Gordon

Gordon delivered classic gentleman energy in a sharp, modern casual light-grey suit layered over a black crew-neck shirt and finished with white sneakers

The Food Creator of the Year impressed in a denim utility-inspired suit, featuring a structured jacket and matching pants, elevated with sleek sunglasses, effortless yet utterly striking.
