BEQAEB extends 2026 BECE registration in Benue State

The Benue State Education Quality Assurance and Examinations Board, BEQAEB, has announced an extension of the 2026 Basic Education Certificate Examination, BECE, registration period.

The notice came through a statement released by Jeffrey Adzam, the Board’s Information Officer. The extension is meant to give candidates who have not yet registered more time to complete the process; the aim is to ensure no student is left out.

Why the registration period was extended

BEQAEB said the extension will help candidates who are still outside the registration process complete their entries within the new window.

That gives schools and education stakeholders a fresh chance to act. For those who have delayed, this is the Time to move.

New dates for BEQAEB 2026 BECE registration

The board listed the revised schedule below.

    Purchase of PINs

    From 23 March 2026 to 31 March 2026

    Registration period

    From 23 March 2026 to 7 April 2026

    What schools should do now

All schools yet to complete their registration are advised to visit the BEQAEB registration portal and finish the process within the extended period.

The board also urged stakeholders and school administrators to take immediate action within the approved timeframe so they do not miss the final deadline.

What the extension means for candidates

The extension gives unregistered candidates another window to complete their BECE registration. It also places clear responsibility on schools to wrap up pending entries before the new closing date.

For schools still holding back, the message is plain; use the extra days and complete registration.
