    AAU IJMBE admission form for 2026/2027 session

    Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, has invited applications from qualified candidates for admission into its Interim Joint Matriculation Board Examination, IJMBE, programme for the 2026/2027 session.

    IJMBE is a national examination body approved by the Federal Government of Nigeria and certified by the NUC as an Advanced Level examination for admission into higher institutions. The result can qualify candidates for 200-level admission into Ambrose Alli University or any other Nigerian university through Direct Entry. The certificate is also accepted by some foreign universities for admission.

    For candidates aiming at Direct Entry, this route is clear and direct; it gives a recognised A/L qualification tied to university admission.

    What the AAU IJMBE programme offers

    The AAU IJMBE programme prepares admitted candidates for Advanced Level examination requirements.

    Candidates admitted into the programme are expected to choose three subject combinations related to their intended course of study at the university.

    AAU IJMBE admission requirements

    Applicants must possess at least five credit passes in not more than two sittings in SSCE, WASCE, GCE O-Level, NECO or NABTEB.

    These credits must include:

    • English Language
    • Mathematics

    At least three of the credits must be in relevant subjects.

    Duration of the programme

    The programme lasts for twelve calendar months.
    The twelve months are divided into two sessions.

    The application form costs N25,000.

    How to apply for AAU IJMBE admission

    Applicants are to begin by using the AAU IJMBE application registration page.

    Application steps

    1. Click on the Register for application page.
    2. Provide all necessary information. Fields marked with “*” are compulsory.
    3. An immediate email will be sent to the email address provided.
    4. Applicants should use a personal email address, not a cybercafe or shared email address.
    5. Open the email to retrieve the system-generated ID and password.
    6. Visit the AAU portal and click “Login” at the top right of the page.
    7. Enter the username and password sent by email to log in.
    8. Click “Edit application record”, complete the required details, and upload a passport photograph.

    How to pay for the AAU IJMBE form

    Payment is done through the portal after login.

    Payment steps

    1. Go to the AAU login page.
    2. Enter the username and password sent to the registered email address.
    3. Click “Edit application record” to move to payment.
    4. At the bottom of the page, click “Add online payment ticket”.
    5. Click on the Payment ID of the created ticket.
    6. Click “CollegePAY” at the top of the page.
    7. A confirmation screen will appear; applicants are to check the payment details and click “Submit” to pay through the Interswitch gateway.

    Final step after payment

    Once payment has been successfully validated, applicants are to click “Submit” to complete the application.

    After that, the application slip should be printed and kept for record purposes.

    The IJMBE programme application form will be available until 31 May 2026.
