Afro-fusion talent BEETEECEE delivers one of his most personal statements yet with the release of “Story Of My Life,” out now via Roaring Records. The new single captures the artist at his most vulnerable and reflective, offering a deeply human story shaped by loss, growth, and an unshakable drive to succeed.
Rooted in real-life experience, “Story Of My Life” draws from BEETEECEE’s early struggles, including the loss of his father, and the journey that followed. Rather than centering on pain alone, the record reframes adversity as fuel—transforming hardship into a message of hope, faith, and ambition. It’s a narrative that speaks to perseverance, encouraging listeners to stay focused and positive regardless of life’s challenges.
Sonically, the track blends Afrobeats with African dancehall influences, staying true to BEETEECEE’s signature sound while pushing it forward with refined production. Crafted by Kylo Skeng, the record is layered with rich musical textures, from acoustic guitar melodies to the warmth of Fender Rhodes keys and the groove of a Rickenbacker bassline. The chopped drum patterns tie everything together, giving the song both rhythm and emotional weight.
Recorded in Hackney Wick, London, the single was brought to life in a collaborative studio session alongside Roaring Records COO Deelaruze and DJ Slauka. The process, described as transformative, allowed BEETEECEE to fully channel his story into sound.
The release is further elevated by its striking visual identity. Designed by Deelaruze, the artwork presents a bold black-and-white portrait layered with handwritten text and graffiti-inspired elements. The raw, imperfect details reinforce the authenticity of the message—making it clear that this is not just music, but a lived experience put on display.
To celebrate the release, BEETEECEE is hosting an intimate listening party in London for close supporters, with a live performance set for April 25 in Birmingham at Friends and Fo’ Melvic Lounge. Additional promotional efforts are also underway as he continues to build momentum around the single.
