Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, COOU, Anambra State, has announced plans for its combined 4th Founder’s Day Memorial Lecture and 16th Convocation Ceremony.
The event will take place from Wednesday, 22 April, to Saturday, 25 April 2026. The programme brings together the Founder’s Day lecture series and the convocation in one schedule; a clear marker on the University calendar.
The University fixed the event for four days, from 22 to 25 April 2026.
Venue: EFT Auditorium, Igbariam Campus.
Activities will begin at 10:00 am daily.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Kate Aziya Omengwa, B.Sc., will lead the university community through the line-up of events.
The programme will also include the formal declaration of registration for the 4th Founder’s Day Lecture Series.
The convocation and lecture series honour the late Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, whose name the University bears. The event also marks the academic success of graduating students.
That double purpose gives the ceremony its shape; remembrance on one side, graduation on the other.
Anyone planning for the event should keep three details in view: the dates, the venue, and the daily start time. COOU has already set those points out plainly, and they frame the full programme.
