if you’re as hooked on Big Brother Naija as I am, you know Sundays are all about those eviction nights. And let’s be real, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu never fails to steal a bit of the spotlight with his killer outfits. Can you imagine it? A monochromatic sky-blue ensemble with some retro and modern touch.
Full zip-front shirt paired with wide-leg trousers cinched by a jet-black leather belt-so funkadelic-alive this moment is! Not to forget the presence of some twinkling round stones and sequins that lined on a sheer band across the crown of the cranium and sparkled beaded glasses further outlined in sprayed gold.
I mean, you gotta love Sonny Okosun-he was the epitome of classiness. His music was so different with that mix of reggae, funk, highlife, and gospel, totally jam-packed with protest tunes and set Pan-Africa astir; and tonight, Ebuka was suggesting as much.
So they’re retro, no doubt about it, but they don’t sit badly for now. True tribute to a guy who sang in like six different languages and made music a fixture for change. As always, Ebuka uses the eviction night episode to give a nod to the culture. It somehow makes it all so much more profound beyond the reality TV drama.
This season of BBNaija has drama beyond anything familiar. A load of suspense awaits, with surprise evictions looming. The episode is all together interesting-too much tension. Tonight is another day of tension, questions all around. So who’s staying and who’s leaving?
