When vivo and iQOO announced that OriginOS 6 based on Android 16 will be launched globally, ending the OriginOS / FuntouchOS divide, the brands also revealed a rollout timeline for existing devices. That, however, was misleading.
For example, the iQOO 12 from 2023 was slated to get the OriginOS 6 update in mid-November. And it did in fact arrive then, but it wasn’t the stable build – instead, it was a public beta which you could opt into from the phone’s Settings.
