Magma Selected highlights a single poet who is emerging or whose work deserves to be better known, allowing us to publish a wider selection of poems.
Our Selected Poet for Magma 93 is Syed Kabeer Hassan and we are delighted to be able to share his reading his wonderful poem in the current issue of Magma.
Syed Kabeer Hassan is a poet, translator and essayist from Allahabad, India. His works have appeared or will appear in The Penn Review, BRINK Literary, Mantis (Stanford), Kahf Magazine, MEARI and Brown History, amongst others. He is currently pursuing his bachelor’s from Jamia Millia Islamia University, and owns a multiplatform blog where he writes and curates under the name ‘fleurentcue’.
