The decomposing body of 16-year-old Lawal Wahab was found mutilated along Igbile-Ijebu Road in Ogun State, with vital organs removed, suggesting ritual killing. Police arrested two suspects, Salawu Omikansola and Serefusi Agemo, while others remain at large.

In a separate operation, 22 suspected Aiye cult members—including two soldiers—were arrested at Hilton Hotel following a raid. Recovered items included a locally made firearm, an axe, and cult-related paraphernalia. The suspects are being investigated.
