Keymaster::Emerging Afrobeats sensation Txrner has released his long-anticipated new album, How’s TX, a soul-baring seven-track project that marks a powerful shift in the artist’s creative journey. Released on July 14, the album serves as both a continuation and reinvention, building upon the foundation laid by his 2022 EP Who’s TX, but this time trading raw bravado for reflection, gratitude, and emotional depth.
Produced entirely by Power, How’s TX is the culmination of a four-year journey that began with the 2021 single How To Feel. What followed was an intense and deeply personal process of musical exploration, resulting in a cohesive, emotionally rich album. Tracks like What A Life and Flashbacks showcase the duality at the heart of the project—balancing vulnerability with resilience, struggle with hope.

Txrner – How’s TX Art Recorded across a variety of unconventional and professional spaces—from youth centers to renowned studios like No Stars Studio, and even friends’ houses—the album reflects Txrner’s commitment to honesty and raw expression. Verses and melodies took shape gradually, allowing each song to evolve naturally, grounded in lived experience.
Txrner, born out of transformation and tenacity, has quickly become one of Afro-beat’s most compelling new voices. From learning piano in school detention to headlining shows across Europe, his trajectory is anything but ordinary. The “X” in his stage name, replacing the “U” in “Turner”, symbolizes his “no U-turn” approach to life and music—a mantra of progress with no looking back.
Blending sultry Afro-beat grooves with melodic storytelling and emotional transparency, Txrner has built a growing underground following. In 2023 alone, he released over 20 singles, amassing over 100,000 streams on platforms like SoundCloud and YouTube. His versatility has earned praise from grime legends like Jammer (BBK) and Mist, and his music has graced mainstream radio waves.
How’s TX isn’t just an album—it’s a journey through the soul of an artist evolving in real time.
